System Engineer Level 3
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Automation: Design, provision, and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures utilizing Terraform.
- Pipeline Engineering: Architect, implement, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines within GitLab to ensure fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.
- Cloud-Native Operations: Deploy, manage, and scale cloud-native environments
- Developer Enablement: Partner closely with software engineering teams to streamline deployments, resolve pipeline bottlenecks, and enforce operational best practices.
Required Skills:
- US Citizens Only
- TS/SCI with Polygraph required
- Twelve (12) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree
- Terraform Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience writing, deploying, and managing production-grade infrastructure using Terraform, including deep knowledge of state management and modularity.
- GitLab Mastery: Extensive experience building and maintaining complex, automated CI/CD pipelines specifically using GitLab.
- Cloud-Native Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, encompassing containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and major cloud platforms.
- Systems Administration: Solid grasp of Linux systems, cloud networking, and security principles.
Desired Skills:
- API & SDK Tooling: Experience working with OpenAPI specifications and a background in generating, publishing, or managing SDKs to improve developer integrations.
- Python Proficiency: Scripting and programming skills in Python for custom automation, building internal tooling, or interacting with cloud APIs.
- Observability Experience: Familiarity with setting up and tuning modern monitoring, alerting, and logging stacks
Compensation Range: $175,812.46 - $205,812.46
